Sans-Arc Studio is an innovative, award-winning architecture practice that is known for designing playful, social and environmental spaces with ‘good vibes’.
Within a revitalised warehouse in the inner west of Adelaide, Bowden Brewing is a microbrewery producing small batch and unique beer. Playing off the industrial setting, the boundary wall is inspired by temporary fencing and layers of raw steel mesh and a concrete floor tie into the base-build. These elements are balanced against warmer tones of walnut timber, beige modular tiles and textural orange upholstery that create an offbeat and slightly 70s colour palette.
Spread across two levels, the space is layered and delicately balanced between convivial and industrial, making a really big shed feel comfortable and welcoming.

Bankston is a thoughtful and consistent lab of design incubation. Our goal is to identify and collaborate with the best and brightest minds in architecture and design—to explore and produce sought-after, functional, physical objects of exceptional quality.
We like to think of our architectural hardware as the punctuation marks within designed environments—intentionally crafted objects that invite a moment of pause and appreciation before engaging with a space.
Our commitment to design excellence is reflected in our current collections, created in collaboration with Sans-Arc, Edition Office, and Civilian.
