In 1957, Italian architect Carlo Scarpa was commisisoned by the Olivetti typewriter company to design their showroom in Venice, Italy. This showroom is considered a masterpiece of modern architecture, and is currently a museum showcasing his work.These Scarpa mosaics are inspired by the works of Carlo Scarpa, their form echoing the keyboards of the typewriters themselves.
