Blackwell Architecture and Design ltd or BA+D is a small family led firm of Architectural Designers and Graduates. Anthony Blackwell founded BA+D in 2019 to offer his skills to repeat clients and contacts made over his years in the industry.

Over more than 15 years in the Christchurch Architecture and Construction Industry, Anthony has established a reputation as a technically literate designer with extensive experience and understanding of residential, commercial, and institutional work.

The firm has a core focus on tailored Residential new builds and renovations with an ongoing engagement in student residences and institutional projects.

As the firm’s practice has diversified, its scope of service has widened to include a greater number of new residential and more sustainable design projects along with a greater number of multi-unit and townhouse design solutions. Anthony’s technical and contractual knowledge brings several projects that see BA+D assisting with building and consenting compliance, change of use and resolution of incomplete construction certifications.
