Modern meets heritage with this full rebuild of a Ponsonby cottage on one of the suburb’s most loved streets. We worked closely with the client to make sure that the house had plenty of mod cons and worked well for a young family, whilst staying true to the original exterior and footprint.

As it was a house within the Residential 1 historic character zone, we had adhere to strict aesthetic requirements whilst still ensuring that the work was up to current building code. This included installing two storey firewalls and getting a fibre glass brick slip false chimney craned into place. Other features included glass balustrades spanning two levels, repurposed stained glass windows and a recrafted Juliet balcony.
