Inspired by the Lyttelton Boat-sheds, Julie & Edward's home is a compact yet(119m2), spatially aware, modern two-story dwelling. This- Award-winning home incorporates innovations and features that maximise energy efficiencies, comfort, health and well-being as well as enhance perhaps the most important material in eco-builds: Timber. The ''simplexity'' of the shape integrates the latest innovations with a structure CLT / Steel portals, external rigid wood-fibre insulation, breathable walls, recessed thermally broken windows, passive & active ventilation, a very first NZ's house of its kind.
