Named after the valleys and orchards that prospered in West Auckland during the early 1900’s, The Groves development offers a fresh and vibrant hub with contemporary, well designed and affordable homes.
The Groves are a collection of simple buildings, designed well. The forms and materials used hark back to the original horticultural land uses. Inspired by glasshouses and farm buildings, you can see these reflected in the roof forms and robust materials used. The precast concrete exterior walls and floors provide a high level of construction quality, while also allowing a comfortable and tempered living environment.

We love architecture, not just for the beauty found in thoughtful spaces, but for the role it plays in creating liveable buildings, communities, and cities. At Gel we understand that careful design can help shape the fabric of our country for the better. We’re known for designing homes and workplaces that are beautiful to look at, practical to build, and a joy to live and work in. We are new home, urban regeneration and masterplanning specialists. Sustainability is in the DNA of all our projects, with considerations such as efficient land use, using locally-sourced products, optimising solar access and reducing waste at the forefront of our thinking. Gel Architects are an NZIA (New Zealand Institute of Architects) registered practice.
