As the interior designers for this unique motel transformation, we set out to bring a bold, out-of-the-box vision to life, something Hastings hadn’t seen before. Drawing inspiration from the sun-drenched glamour of Palm Springs, the effortless cool of Slim Aarons' photography, and a fearless palette of vivid colour, we reimagined every space with a playful, nostalgic twist. From retro-inspired furnishings to unexpected design moments, our goal was to create a stay that feels both iconic and delightfully escapist, where every corner is a photo opportunity, and every detail tells a story.
