Our design concept pays homage to various cultures, incorporating elements of traditional architecture, intricate pattern making, and a touch of romance and nostalgia. Through the meticulous selection of warm leather textures and exquisite wood detailing, we have created a modern and inviting space that perfectly harmonizes with the breathtaking backdrop of Sydney Harbour. The floor-to-ceiling windows not only flood the restaurant with an abundance of natural light but also offer guests captivating views of the water, elevating their dining experience to new heights.
Drawing inspiration from the spirit of Ubuntu, which emphasizes the values of giving and sharing, we have curated a menu and overall ambience that embody these principles. Our layout has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate different group sizes and preferences, featuring intimate dining areas as well as larger spaces like our interpretation of a "Boma," where guests can come together for unforgettable shared experiences. We have done so for almost 30 years and in this time we have learned a tremendous amount about how people behave naturally and instinctively within these social environments. We have learned the hard way that in order to design successful venues, we needed to place predictive human behaviour at the heart of what we do. We capture succinctly how most people behave most of the time in order to design spaces for the most joy and ultimately the most success. This assists us in capturing the spirit of place.
