The Sanctuary

Website

Having worked with this client on her home in Auckland, we were honoured to design the interiors for her new Queenstown holiday home.

Originally from the South Island, our client had a strong connection with the landscape and wanted the interiors to reflect the outdoors she and her family love. Natural earthy tones allow the spectacular view to take centre stage. The layout needed to cater for lots of extended family and guests over peak holiday season; flexible spaces with multiple conversation zones were created using careful groupings of furniture.

For the finishing touches we foraged for wild dried flowers, foliage and seed pods. The result is a sanctuary of relaxed elegance, one that pays homage to the landscape our client so dearly loves.
