This was a large refurbishment. The brief was to furnish with quality fabrics, lighting, artwork and furniture, with a very close eye on detail. The look was driven by my clients love of American designer Ralph Lauren, in particular his tartan woolen upholstery, a nod to my clients heritage.
I commissioned Sallee Carpets to custom dye a plush cut pile carpet in French blue. The wool was sourced in Christchurch, dispatched to India for dying then to the Melbourne factory to be made into a beautiful velvety carpet.
The French antiques where sourced through the importer, French and Sons Bulls. The art works by local artists including Fran Dibble, Amy Blackburn, Adele Dubarry and others
I Commissioned furniture by Christchurch manufacturer Montreux. The chandeliers were sourced from Eunice Taylor.
I specialise in thoughtfully crafted interiors, coordinating key design elements to create enduring, unique, life enhancing spaces.
Recycled textiles, the sourcing of fine art, restoring classic furniture, and salvage are a particular focus - bringing depth and story to the spaces I design.
Textiles, lighting, art, furnishings, flooring, and finishing touches are sourced internationally and locally (where possible).
I take great pleasure in the collaborative journey, discovering your personal style, understanding how you live, and working together to realise your dreams with versatile and bespoke design. Whether a new build, full renovation, or just a wee zhoosh up, please contact me.
