Working on your own house is a particular challenge for any architect, especially when that house was originally designed by one of Adelaide’s most famous mid century architects, John Chapel. Purchased in 2016, the architect decided to renovate the house in a manner that was in keeping with the original concept and feel of the mid-century appeal. The renovation maintains the original footprint of the home, but rearranges the spaces so that there is now a more even flow between the spaces, updating the layout to better suit the contemporary lifestyle.
