Waiheke Revival
Sitting on the ridge above Putaki Bay, this extensive renovation breathes new life into an early 2000s weatherboard Waiheke Island home while preserving its charm. With distant sea views over rolling hills as the backdrop, the architecture & interior design blends modern comfort with the home’s original character.
A generous new kitchen extends the home out to the north to anchor the new living spaces with the new pool, poolhouse and outdoor fireplace area. A redesigned entry formalises the driveway side of the house and pulls the eye in via a new curved form.
No surface or room within the interior has remained untouched, with a new
family bathroom, powder room, ensuite, walk in robe and laundry allowing the clients to personalise their home carefully designed joinery and sections for finishes and fittings. This project is a testament to our ability to enhance existing homes with contemporary living in mind while honouring their history and surroundings.
