The precinct includes the Cenotaph, at the corner of Lambton Quay and Bowen Street, and the plaza next to Parliament Grounds.
The works included a redesign of the open space around the Cenotaph to reinstate it as the focal point of the precinct and as a city icon. A redesign of the forecourt to provide a larger and more accessible space for the Anzac Day dawn service as well as other events. New steps were built up to the Beehive forecourt, in conjunction with Parliamentary Services, to strengthen the connection to Parliament.
Horizon supplied a combination of paving materials including a 600 * 300 Rubbed Bluestone paver and a complimentary 750 * 500 Veneto unit.
