This concrete and steel house slides between a Norfolk and a Sydney Blue Gum, looking west towards the Waitakere Ranges.
It captures sunlight through steel joinery - (salvaged and repaired from George Courts), and the sun’s warmth is held by insulated concrete walls. It is clad in bespoke red and grey painted steel panels. Entry through a yellow door leads to sitting area with a bespoke window seat - a cosy spot overlooking the sports fields. Internal plywood sliding screens can be drawn to close the rooms.
