An innovative re-imagining of the suburban townhouse typology, this home uses light and volume to create spaces that feel much bigger than what the compact site would generally allow. Colour, texture and pattern are playfully deployed to give this small home a big personality.

Designed to challenge the standard suburban townhouse typology this home carefully utilises volume and light to create a generous feeling of space despite the modest site. A bright orange terrazzo vestibule greets you as you enter alongside the elegant white brickwork matching the exterior before stepping up into the main living, dining and kitchen area. In the centre of the space is an arresting double height void and window flooding the interior with northern light and views through to the garden. The orientation of the building is directed to take full advantage of sun, seasonal breezes and selected views over the local landscape all the while utilising the full extent of the tight site to maximise liveability. Colour, pattern and texture are confidently deployed to give different spaces their own unique character, encouraging small moments of surprise as you move through the home. Behind the clean, contemporary lines lies highly resolved detailing that has been thoroughly considered to ensure a crisp and refined finish.
