For this commission we restored a Sandow wool press owned by the client and converted it to a bar leaner by adding a top. The wool press is over 100 years old and was built in NZ from solid rimu. The iron work was stripped and painted black and the rimu was sanded back and oiled. Castors were added to the bottom with skirting installed to conceal them. The client provided rimu reclaimed from a demolished woolshed which we used to construct the top and four matching bar stools.
