A Classic Northern Beaches Kitchen and Laundry Renovation
This modern kitchen & laundry renovation at Newport on Sydney’s Northern Beaches is a testament to how Hampton’s shaker-style cupboard doors and calm, neutral colours have a timeless and contemporary appeal that will stand the test of time.
During our initial consultation at this lovely Newport home, we discussed with the client their “must haves”. These included a larger fridge, laundry renovation and an extra WC for guests.
When considering the room dimensions, our expert kitchen design team drastically enhanced the space by integrating a built-in laundry and wrap-around breakfast bar, adding plenty of room for family seating.
For this concept to work, we needed to remove an adjoining wall. This drastically opened up the kitchen to the adjoining living room, creating a seamless, open plan ‘flow’ from one room to the other. The result was a larger, more functional area with plenty of natural light flooding in.
The benchtop material was carried through as a feature in the integrated laundry. And, the client got their wish of a larger fridge!
Porcelain timber plank tiles were used throughout the home to create a sense of warmth but a hard-wearing surface that could withstand kids and pets.
