Why is electrical design not completed before bathroom renovations begin?
Generally this is an after-thought that happens because the electrical contractor is called in to complete the thinking on the fly.
At OME we’re more than competent to complete this, but we can only go by the information given to us on the day.
Problems that may arise
If you have no set plans on the bathroom remodel, making decisions on the fly can sometimes lead to serious trouble.
The heated towel rail power point may not get installed in the correct location due to a plan change, light switches may get installed behind the door without ease of access.
We know that there’s always a cost involved, but with proper planning and consultation this can be avoided.
There’s also Reputation and project dollars at stake when completing a project on time and within budget.
The Correction Factor
Keep in mind that 80% of electrical work is always unseen by the naked eye.
It’s what’s in the skeleton of the building that ensures the correct ergonomic form and function of your new space is correctly arranged.
It can be very expensive to change locations of power points and electrical fixtures in a bathroom once the tiles are on the walls.
This is why you need to get the bathroom renovation electrical design completed before you start.
Call OME on 0800 663 583 to get your electrical designs completed and save you the correction factor.
