In this course we will explore the need to coat exterior timber. By coating timber you protect it from moisture which improves the dimensional stability which reduces cracking, splitting etc. and which in turn increases the service life of the timber.

Transparent timber finishes are a challenging area of the decorative coating category and the products are wide and offer very different solutions. We will have a quick look at the different type of coatings available and will drill down a bit more.
