Located within the parkside suburb of Concord, 10 kilometres west of Sydney's bustling CBD, this residence’s dark and moody façade gives little away of the light interior within. Defying the limitations of space, the Concord Residence makes the most of its humble 303 sqm site, thanks to J Mammone Architecture's careful arrangement of linear stacked forms.
The brief was to maximise the site, without compromising on the usability of the spaces.
A floor to ceiling window displaying greenery lightens the polished concrete.
A cohesive blend of textures and neutral tones.
Solid materiality softened with warm timber tones.
The dynamic façade changes the appearance from the street.
Motorised blinds provide privacy for the main bedroom.
Inside, the blinds add interest to the main bedroom.
Monochromatic greys and robust materials line the downstairs.
A mix of cold and warm materials create zones within the home.
Venturing upstairs, the ambience takes on a more intimate and inviting feel.
Curves soften the dark shades.
Adding interest with textures and materials.
Skylights add light while ensuring privacy.
The ensuite provides able grooming room.
Severe materials curving softly.
