2. Always draw out the layout of the bathroom when it is at the framing stage - mark positions of the toilet, shower/bath and vanity. This way you can get a better idea on the finished space - if any changes are wanted it is easier to make the changes here, rather than when wall linings are up and completed.
3. Materials are massive this will be one of the biggest cost within your bathroom, make sure materials are of high quality and from a reputable brand that you can trust. In any build, as the saying goes "you get what you pay for"
4. Always use professional, fully qualified tradesmen! - If for any reason something was going to go wrong using qualified, certified tradesmen they are required to stand by their work and insure it. Always choose a builder who has a current building licence and can produce a 10 year building guarantee that is underwritten by a third party insurer.
