iGuzzini: An Immersive Lighting Design Experience
Here, the visitor can see, touch and feel inspirational lighting to help designers with their projects and homeowners looking to renovate or build.
Debuted in cities around the world including Milan, New York, Paris and Shanghai, the iGuzzini Light Experience has now opened its doors in New Zealand in ECC’s Auckland showroom.
Designed to allow visitors to experience iGuzzini lighting, the interactive experience creates opportunities for people to see, touch and feel an innovative array of specialist lighting solutions.

“This one-of-a-kind digitally enhanced experience exists across three rooms and seven shows, taking the viewer through colour, graphic, shape, invisible, guiding, vertical and human light,” ECC’s Richard Thorburn says.
“Hundreds of light fittings are coordinated and programmed together to create a masterful presentation while demonstrating comparison against variations. The experience also offers examples of how design techniques are implemented in some of the world’s most iconic buildings,” Richard says.
“With a deep focus on the importance of sound, colour, energy and emotion, the Light Experience provokes insightful application in architectural design - educating and offering viewers an enhanced meaning of lighting design. Viewers are inspired to think inwardly about their lighting needs, and how iGuzzini lighting can benefit their projects - whether residential or for large-scale urban settings.”
The digital Light Experience
Visitors can also choose to connect with the experience virtually across three rooms - invisible, colour and guiding light. “There are two ways to explore these rooms, either via a guided experience with the ECC team or via a 3D online experience that is completely interactive and customisable,” Richard says.
“The sky is the limit when it comes to the Light Experience. In the showroom, on-site, or at home, iGuzzini allows designers to view and have a realistic feel for the light, so they can illuminate their projects to new levels. The digital experience can be accessed from a working tool that can be used anywhere, at any time.
Established in 1959, iGuzzini quickly became a global leader in technical and architectural lighting with a strong vocation for lighting innovation.
