COLORSTEEL® samples are great for helping you select the colour and finish perfect for your project. Here are our tips for making the best use of samples to get a true understanding of the look you will achieve.
When it comes to making colour selections, you can't beat the real thing. That's why we offer free samples delivered straight to your door. There are a few key things to keep in mind when comparing your options:
- View samples in natural light. Colours can look very different under artificial lighting, so it's best to take samples outside
- View samples at different times of the day to see the full range of colour appearance
- Compare against existing fixed elements you won’t be changing, such as brick work and driveways
- Consider the finish. New COLORSTEEL® Matte uses micro-wrinkle technology to diffuse light, creating a unique lustred surface and a soft textured look, revealing the true tone and depth of colour not seen in other finishes
- Create a moodboard. Gather colours and textures you love and compare with samples of other elements in your project
- Keep in mind your chosen profile will also impact the look, lines and shadowing.
