Create beautifully textured walls with ease using Resene MyArtisan Foundation Coat - a versatile new coating designed for professional-looking concrete, plaster and stone-effect finishes.

Over the years, Resene has developed a number of interior and exterior products that have been designed to impart a range of specialist effects and textures from flat, mineral-effect finishes through to more high-build, tactile surfaces.

The latest addition to this range of specialised coatings – MyArtisan Foundation Coat – has been developed as an extension to some of the existing products in the range, allowing for an experienced DIY-er to create professional looking finishes.

MyArtisan Foundation Coat can be specified as a finish coat for interior and exterior walls or as a base coat for use with other finishes and effects coatings and is suitable for use over primed plasterboard, concrete and other cementitious surfaces.

Due to its proprietary acrylic polymer formulation, MyArtisan Foundation Coat can be applied using different techniques and application styles to create unique finishes, including concrete, plaster and stone effects. Its light texture can disguise imperfect substrates, including when critical light is an issue.

While it has many uses, it is not suitable as a coating for radiators and wood-burners as it will soften when heated. Similarly, it should not be applied at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period, as this will affect the finished result.

With a dry time of 45 minutes at 20°C and a recoat time of two hours, MyArtisan Foundation Coat offers a tough and durable finish with excellent abrasion and scuff resistance in an easy-to-apply, low-odour waterborne acrylic that is suited to most Resene colour systems.
