When it comes to design, there is a clear intersection between sustainability and wellbeing, recognising the mutual relationship between caring for people and the planet.

Prioritising wellbeing in design involves creating indoor environments that promote mental and physical health. Using materials with low VOCs not only promotes good indoor air quality but also supports respiratory health, improving overall wellbeing. Excessive noise levels can induce stress and impair cognitive function. Integrating thoughtful acoustics into interior design, will support focused work, relaxation, and social interaction, enhancing overall wellbeing for building occupants, both physically and mentally.

 

Designing with sustainability in mind ensures minimal environmental impact throughout a space’s lifetime. For this reason, it is important to consider the entire lifecycle of materials and products used within spaces, including their recyclability at end-of-life.
