An antique Louis Philippe period Chapelle De Gendarme Silver Gilt and cream Mirror. The mirror has its lovely old mirror plate and original backing with inner beaded frame. These lovely simple mirrors are not easy to find these days. The gendarme refers to the shape of 18th century French policeman's hats.
