With a huge range of customisable layup options available, our skilled team will assemble a series of sheets that are naturally striking to achieve your desired visual effect or design.

All our veneer panels come from accredited sustainable sources and the Bestwood Natural Veneer range carries Eco Choice Aotearoa accreditation when pressed onto 9mm MDF or thicker. The NZ Native Veneer species have a documented chain of custody and buyers are provided with a Track my Tree code, allowing you to view the harvesting permit, the location and an image of the tree (or group) your veneer came from.

Because Bestwood Veneer is an authentic timber product you can expect variations and inconsistencies that only nature can provide.

Bestwood Natural Veneer offers a number of decorative natural wood overlays pressed onto a range of substrate options. There are a range of features available – please refer to our selection guide for help.

Features:

  • Panels supplied hand-trimmed and sanded (unsanded or skim-sanded available upon request)
  • Range of substrate options includes moisture resistant MDF, MDF EO (low formaldehyde), fire-retardant MDF, and plywood
  • Bestwood Natural Veneer pressed onto 9mm MDF of thicker carries Environmental Choice accreditation

Direct Sunlight – Direct sunlight should be avoided on all veneer surfaces as fading, bleaching, colour changes and damage to the surface coating may occur. As with any natural timber product, dyed products such as fabrics, colour will change over time when exposed to visible UV light. Consideration should be given to protective UV films or glazing and blinds in high sunlight situations.
