Another of our unique Signature metals that alone oozes sophistication or is an important ingredient to many of our hybrid bespoke finishes such as Oil-Rubbed Bronze or Blackened Steel. This metal is unique to Metalier. Black copper is often added to other metals, particularly the bronze, to darken them. It doesn’t take a patina which is hardly surprising. Patinas darken metals and you can’t get any darker than black!

Our copper liquid metals are available in four different colours.

The colours are salmon copper, dark copper, dusky copper and black copper. Dark copper is a deeper version of the traditional copper colour. Dusky copper has a greenish-grey tone. Black copper is black with just the odd hint of a copper tinge. It polishes up very highly and resembles ebony. Copper and patinas are a beautiful combination.

Scope of use

Our liquid metals can be smooth and shiny, it can be textured or left in a “raw” state to add interest. The possibilities and creative finishes are endless.

Our Inspiration Images are here to inspire and illustrate just some of the possibilities of our liquid metals.  Polished, aged, textured, waxed, coated or raw over many different shapes and sizes.

Note

It is important to remember applications and finishing are all done by hand so each piece is individually crafted and no two craftspeople will produce an identical finish.  This is one of the beauties of the coatings.

The look and feel of solid aluminium can be achieved on cost-effective substrates such as MDF.  If you need strength, then an aluminium metal finish on steel may be a suitable substrate alternative. Both are viable options with our Metalier Liquid Coatings.
