A very stylish, and rare mahogany Art Deco drinks trolley/bar attributed to the prominent German designer of the Art Deco period, Ernst Rockhausen of Waldheim, Germany, circa 1930.
The Company, Rockhausen, was established in 1866. Of a geometric design, the cart has a very useful raised shelf for placing some bottles or glasses on while serving drinks, and an enclosed compartment for bottle storage with a pull down door below. It is set on its original wooden castors.
There are brass modernist style accents and railings throughout which we have had professionally polished while still retaining the original patina. It stands as strong and stabile as the day it was handcrafted, the original antique glass is in great condition and the folding door still opens and shuts perfectly as well.
