Enka-Vent is a nylon roof underlay product developed to help protect metal roofing from corrosion due to condensation buildup. Enka-Vent is light and easy to install. As long as provision is made for air to enter and exit the cavity, Enka-Vent encourages ventilation and drainage across the entire plane of the roof structure. Enka-Vent also has the added benefit of significantly reducing rain noise and helping reduce the visual impact of irregularities in the roofing substrate.

Scope of use

Installation of Enka-Vent:

Enka-Vent is supplied in rolls of 1 metre width x 150 lineal metres long. Weighing only 210 grams/m2, it is easy to handle in a roofing situation. It is rolled out on top of the building paper layer from the apex of the roof to the eaves. Enka-Vent is easy to cut to length with shears prior to being secured at the top of the roofing structure.
