Suitability
- General outdoor, excluding harsh seaside conditions where stainles or brass may be required
- Careful & well planned installation is essential
- It is highly recommended that all joints are IP68 to prevent these two common issues:
- 1) moisture sucking up the cable (capillary action) and causing condensation inside the fitting
- 2) tripping the sensitive RCD's
- Bollards cannot be buried in the ground, or have soil packed aroung the base. This causes problems with
- condensation developing inside the fitting, as well as possible paint issues
- Ideally install on a plinth above ground level and avoid very wet areas
- Keep away from parked cars to prevent being bumped into (common)
