Light Suede finish, this panel has a multiply birch core. Excellent for durable, exposed edge-grain cabinetry. A favourite with joiners, this is strong & has an excellent hard-wearing surface. HPL Italia is a high-spec, designer favourite, available in a range of eight colours. The HPL surface is on both faces of the sheet (2F). With moisture resistant properties, clashing is not needed in many situations. This product is a more cost effective option than the HPL Premium range.
HPL Italia, despite being a durable product is still vulnerable to moisture. Consequently it is the users responsibility to ensure the edges are sealed with a protective coating to give the product the necessary protection from moisture and for the desired performance. This is a natural product that can be affected by changes in weather conditions: moisture and temperature. Increased moisture content temperature variation may cause internal stresses causing previously flat sheets to bow.Â
At Plymasters, precautions are taken to minimise this effect. However, once the panel has left our warehouse we cannot guarantee sheets to remain flat unless fastened. This is particularly important where free standing kitchen/cabinet doors are concerned. When storing panels, stack on a firm raised base with enough support to prevent sagging. Cover the pallet to protect top and edges. Not suitable as a kitchen or high use benchtop.
