JSC Cumaru, also known as Tonka, is FSC® certified timber, extremely resilient and durable, with a beautiful grain detail and finish.
Due to its strength and density with the right tools and methods, a clean, smooth finish can be achieved. Cumaru also glues, finishes, and stains well.

Cumaru Applications
When working with Cumaru care is needed to avoid raised grain due to the use of dull knives, particularly in younger pieces. Old-growth generally finishes well and takes stain and glue well with really pleasing results. Cumaru timber is extremely stiff, strong, and hard which lends itself well to a variety of applications:
