NZ Native Red Beech or Tawhairaunui

A handsome native beech tree with medium-sized finely serrated leaves red in colour especially during dry periods and towards winter. An excellent screening tree that can also be trimmed into an impressive hedge. Medium frost hardy, evergreen, grows to 8 x 4m.

Suitable for: Group and specimen planting, hedging and screening.

Features: Foliage turning to brilliant red in winter and during drier spells.
