Wanaka Timber Shutters

Sahara
Sustainably Grown Basswood

The Wanaka Timber Shutters beautifully crafted using sustainable, lightweight Paulownia wood sourced from certified plantations and kiln-dried to best suit our environment. With a wide range of customisation available, our Wanaka shutters are among the most versatile in the market and superior joinery stability makes this material ideal for large panels, like hinged doorways, increasing their longevity and reliability in a home environment. Mortise and tenon joinery and carefully detailed mouldings provide a stunning finished product.

Wanaka Shutters cater for all window types, including the full range of shapes. With two-way blade closure and invisible tilt system, the shutters close completely to provide insulation as well as an elegant interior feature. Our shutters are assembled by hand and then painted or stained at your request for a seamless finish

Shade Elements is New Zealand-owned and operated. That’s important, because it means we understand what conditions are like in this beautiful country. Strong sun and UV can give way to wind and rain without warning, so it’s vital to have well-designed shading systems that can cope with whatever nature throws at them.

Our screens, awnings and pergolas are assembled in our own factory, in Auckland’s Penrose. We source world-leading products from around the globe to bring you the best in contemporary design.

We’re all about creating versatile spaces for outdoor living – just the way Kiwis like it. We work with architects, designers and a network of quality fabricators and installers who deal direct with private homeowners and commercial operators, such as cafés and restaurants, to add value to their buildings and help craft stunning living spaces.
