Hinge Material & Finish

When purchasing a hinged door, one must also consider the style of the hinge itself. Hinges can either blend in or stand out, depending on preference. 

For example, a standard white door can pop with a brass or chrome hinge. But if the door is meant to enhance an outside vista, it's best to have the hinge match its accompanying frame. 

The durability of the material is also a factor. Steel stands to provide the best durability, but stainless steel and brass are good as well.
