Light Emitting Diodes (LED) are small, solid light bulbs that operate differently than traditional incandescent light bulbs. They are referred to as Solid State Lighting (SSL). They are made of solid material that does not contain breakable filaments or tubes.

Different Types 

Bayonet (B22)

B22 bulbs come in the classic bayonet base. This features two ‘mounts’ on either side of the bulb. The led bulbs use 5.5 watts. That is an output of 470 lumens and these also reduce energy consumption by up to 90%.

Edison Screw (E27)

The E27 bulb, also referred to as the Edison bulb has a big screw socket (27 millimeters). Bulbs with an E27-socket will always have the same base but the shape of the bulb may differ. E27 bulb is available in different colour temperatures. These range from low a colour temperature (warm red glowing light) to a high colour temperature (cold blue light).  

E14 Light Bulb

This screw is identical to the e27 and is referred to as the small Edison Screw. The only difference is its diameter size(14mm). An E14 light bulb is normally used for decorative or purely practical purposes.

R-Series Reflector Bulbs

These are used as floodlights and downlights. They are identified according to the size of the bulb’s diameter in millimeters. R-type bulbs typically eliminate glare and diffuse light through their smooth, frosted face. 

PAR-Series Security Lights

Ideal for commercial place lighting. These led lamps produce plenty of brightness and are screw fitting. They may be used for workshops, security, and public places.

MR16 and GU10 Spotlights

These are mostly used for security lighting. The bulbs are extremely durable and deliver reliable lighting in indoor or outdoor applications.

Dimmable Led Bulbs

Led lamps or bulbs are dimmable and non-dimmable. Dimmable LEDs have the power to change the mood of any space. Dimmable bulbs are used in non-dimmable circuits. To avoid electric faults ensure the correct type is used all the time.
