Décortech are the market leaders in fire retardant timber panels and are the first to introduce a Plywood range in New Zealand to meet a Group 1S fire rating under ISO 5660 and a Group 1 in Australia under ASNZ 3837.

Décortech has Firesafe Plywood and MDF options for walls and ceilings to meet a Group 1s fire rating.

Our Firesafe Range has been tested in accordance with ISO 5660 Parts 1 and 2, with the Group Classification determined in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) Verification Method C/VM2 Appendix A.

Group 1S is the highest classification achievable under ISO 5660 and is suitable for use for interior linings in all areas where a fire rating is required. A Group 1s classification will also cover Group 2 and Group 3 requirements.

Options that cover only Group 3 fire requirements are available which may be a more cost effective option for your project.

Décortech can supply test reports for council consent for all our fire rated panel options and have done extensive testing to ensure we have tested, compliant options for all fire requirements.

Extensive modification can be made to our patterns, so please contact us to discuss options for stopping perforation around penetrations (light fittings, sprinklers, diffusers, PIRs etc) or requirements for custom panels.

Shop Drawings
Décortech offers free of charge cad drawings of all panels for customer approval, giving an added sense of security by ensuring that each individual panel is checked before machining begins. This ensures peace of mind for both parties guaranteeing panels are delivered to customer specifications every time.

Green Buildings
The requirements for safe and environmentally friendly workspaces are continually improving. Our primary goal is to produce products that enhance the indoor environment, particularly acoustically. We can also offer products that exceed green building specifications, such as low formaldehyde emission, FSC Certified products and Environmental Choice options.

Décortech is committed to providing environmentally friendly options for all our panels. Décortech panels are manufactured exclusively from timbers sourced from sustainable and renewable forests and can meet Green Build or Environmental requirements. Low formaldehyde, Environmental Choice, FSC and COC options are available and can be provided on request.

Due to our Paintline and the contained process of applying paint, our clear satin finish has low to no VOC content once applied and cured resulting in reduced Greenhouse gas emissions and hazardous waste disposal.
