Lewis’s has a team of experienced Exterior Joinery Contract Managers who apply their consulting experience to provide clients with consistent outcomes and capability.

Manufacturing from a prominent 2000sq metre factory in Bond Street, Invercargill, Lewis’s have been in business for over 40 years producing Vistalite Window and Door Systems. The past 10 years have seen strong growth in the local building market and Lewis’ have been able to adapt to that growth with a volume capacity factory, extensive showroom, a proactive approach to customer needs and the adoption of a range of quality manufacturing processes within the plant. Most noteworthy has been the implementation of the ‘Lean’ manufacturing process resulting in streamlining on time and in full deliveries to our customers. In April 2015, we took delivery of a Mecal Kosmos CNC which has further enhanced our ability to manufacture with precision and to required timeframes.

Tracs critical path job manager and timekeeping systems provide our customers with certainty on the delivery timing. On the job training to NZ Certificate level 3 in Aluminium Joinery is required by all factory staff. This is our minimum standard.

As required for a province of our size, the adaptability to supply to a varied market, being Southland and Central Otago has been a company strength, whilst the company’s preference is at the high-end housing and commercial construction market.
