“I don’t usually get excited about architecture... but looking at the house now and seeing the ways it fits so well on the contours of the land, it still makes me feel excited.”
Client, Lake Hawea Courtyard House

From the outset of this renovation, PAC kept our brief and budget well in mind. At the beginning it was a kind of slow architecture, thanks in part to our dithering and a construction boom that meant builders were a bit thin on the ground – but it was time well spent. Aaron and Sarosh guided us through concept iterations that investigated scale appropriate to budget, ways to build that were sympathetic to neighbours and removed the need for resource consent, creative use of materials, and access to sun – but not too much sun! Sarosh managed the build with great care, with the result being a robust and well-built addition with some moments of real delight.

The PAC team, led by Sarosh Mulla, exemplify the kind of engagement that you need from your architect. From the initial brief through to the site visit in my rural and native bush clad spot they were able to take my brief and help execute this into a developed design which met with my very modest budget. The PAC team worked closely with me to overcome financial constraints, suggesting creative solutions that delivered an exceptional result. My home turned out better than I had imagined, and the quality of materials and build is second to none.

Client, Pahi House

It was a pleasure working with PAC and we would highly recommend them. Right from the start the PAC team, led by Sarosh Mulla, understood our brief and we loved their initial design to extend our Auckland villa. At all times, we felt confident in their high degree of technical knowledge and their visual design. They were reliable, proactive and conscientious. They were decisive when asked for their opinion on fittings etc, and enthusiastic when some of our choices were quite 'colourful'. Now that we are back living in our house we are noticing visual elements, lines of sight, the way light enters the house, that are simply beautiful. It has turned out better than we could have imagined.

Client, Split House

We were looking for architects with flair and imagination when we embarked on our project, and their previous builds gave us confidence in their ability to create something special. We are thrilled with the end result, and particularly pleased with the way Aaron and Liz related to our builder to find solutions to this clever design. Our request for a house that harmonises with its environment, and stands like a dark shadow on the waterfront has been achieved.

Client, Akaroa House

PAC were the perfect team for our job: They were fully engaged, details obsessed and collective in approach allowing the best creative solutions to surface.

Client, Wanaka Crib

Working with Sarosh and Mat on the development of our new home has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Throughout the process we have felt listened to, with our thoughts being integrated into their plans. It has been a completely collaborative process, and we can take some pride in feeling we have contributed to the final concept and the home we aspire to call our home. We are so proud of the final concept and are grateful to Mat and Sarosh for being such an integral part of our journey.
