Ritchy Builders specialises in constructing top quality architectural homes in Picton, the Marlborough Sounds and Blenheim. Phil Richmond is the principal and has been crafting bespoke homes for over 20 years around Golden Bay and Marlborough.

With a tight crew of three qualified builders, we work efficiently and fast while taking huge pride in our workmanship. Three is a great team size - small enough to assure quality but big enough to get the job done within a reasonable time. We’re fussy and sweat the details - especially in the early stages of planning and construction. Getting the ‘bones’ spot on is key to a ‘last forever’ structure and top-shelf finish. We typically build up a relationship of mutual trust with our clients. This has resulted in some beautiful houses that meet the architect’s vision, we are super proud of, and that the owners love.
