We offer individual designs to our clients and also work with you and your design ideas. As the commissioner, you can be as involved in the design of your furniture as you want. We can turn your precise vision into a reality or come up with a design base on a brief set of needs and wants.

Stables Furniture & Design creates bespoke (individually or custom-made) furniture that enhances your day-to-day living. We do this by providing harmony and functionality to your living or working space, maximising visual appearance and purpose with high quality, skilfully made beautiful furniture.

Retail & Business.
As with any workplace, a retail environment has to be special to those that visit and those that work there. Space has the added responsibility of displaying what you are trying to sell in a manner that reflects the products in the best possible light.

Depending on what you are trying to achieve with your retail fit-out, we can add the same sense of reflection seen in our residential furniture to your retail environment.

Be it point-of-sale, fittings and fixtures, storage solutions or the office, we have a potential solution to your problem.

Lounge & Living
Often the living room has to be all things to everyone - a place for the family to relax together and watch television, read or listen to music; a play space for young children; a room for entertaining, which can lend itself to being dressed up for special occasions.

We create lounge chairs and couches, coffee tables, bookcases, storage pieces, television/media cabinets and occasional tables to incorporate relaxation, entertainment, and functionality to this central space.

A well-designed piece of furniture can be the focus of this area.

Bedroom
A bedroom should be a space to withdraw to and offer something special: a place to rest, recuperate and connect with the soul. This space should be intimate and reflect those that will retire there. Beautiful sophisticated furniture will create a mood for the room.

Whether it has an elegant bed as the main focus, cleverly designed nightstands, or a hand-crafted armoire or dresser to store you precious clothes and processions, your bedroom should be your own personal space with your own personal style.

Kitchen
Today the kitchen is the heart of most homes. It is a well functioning workspace or a beautifully ordered entertainment space that caters for your family or guests.

Like any other room in your home, a kitchen is also about style and luxury. A well designed and crafted kitchen can transform your home.

Maybe your kitchen is tired and dated. Or perhaps certain aspects really irritate you.

Many of our clients find that a kitchen makeover gives them renewed inspiration because their new space is such a joy to work in.

Dining
The dining room is a special area where family and friends come together to bond over meals. Now you can give this space a personal touch with furniture that reflects your attitudes. From formal dining to casual living this space can be the centre of your home life or a space to retreat to for entertainment and dining.

We create beautifully designed dining tables, chairs, buffets, sideboards, barstools, and storage solutions for this important area.

Laundry
Your laundry should be an elegant part of your home rather than an afterthought.

Throughout the design process, we will work through how you want to work in this important space of your home.  You may require bench space for folding, shelving, space for sports clothes and muddy shoes etc.

While designing around your laundry needs we will work to incorporate the beauty of the rest of your home into this space.

Bathroom & Laundry
The bathroom is a space to cleanse, relax, rejuvenate and meditate.

We will design the furniture and cabinets for your bathroom with your personal needs in mind.

We can give you options to plan a better bathroom and add the extra facilities you need.

Your cabinets, storage units, mirrors, shelving and accessories can reflect luxury and appeal incorporating aesthetic considerations, but also ergonomics and functionality.

The process of deciding on a design for your furniture can be a daunting one.

We will take time to guide you through the process offering as much or as little advice as required. Sometimes a gentle nudge is all that's required to bring a concept to life.

All you need to do is give as a call or drop us an email and we can have a casual chat about what you want to achieve. We are happy to come and visit you or arrange for you to come and visit us at our workshop. At the workshop you will be able to appreciate the craftsmanship, which goes into each piece of furniture.

If your project requires us to coordinate with your home or office or your furniture is to be fitted, we may need to measure and evaluate on-site.

From here we can discuss the possibilities, match existing materials, colours, styles and assess space requirements.

We will provide you with costings to help you make choices that will realise your dreams within your budget.

We also source the best of international hardware, fixtures and fittings.
