We could not be happier, with the amazing experience we had with WALA, throughout the entire process of designing and building our house. Wei is such a great guy and a fantastic architect. He listened carefully to our extensive wish list, and he absolutely nailed the brief in designing our home. Other architects we consulted, prior to meeting Wei, tried to talk us out of some of our ideas. Wei incorporated all of our ideas into his design and offered his experience and knowledge to enhance them. We love our house ! We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with WALA. Wei comes with the highest recommendation from us. He is brilliant, both as an architect and person. He is so easy to liaise with, he listens to and understands your objectives and is inclusive of your opinions, as well as offering sound and innovative advice where needed. We have a small Victorian terrace, but had huge requirements and expectations. Wei managed to accomodate all of these. He is respectful of the original architecture, which was important to me, but he was also willing and encouraging to push the boundaries where necessary. His innovative approach blended easily with my wishes for natural materials and finishes, resulting in a finished product which we are both proud of and find easy to live in. There is not a thing we would change and after a 2 year build, that's saying something. We love indoor/outdoor living and his ideas have incorporated that well into our Victorian terrace. Included with this however is his concern for the environment and a commitment to designing with thermal properties in mind. A perfect example of this was the rake on the cross fin of the rear extension roof. It was deliberately designed to align with the winter sun and optimise light and warmth in the living area, thus storing heat in the tiled slab for as long as possible. If we were to consider another extension or heaven forbid move again, because we love it here, we would definitely call Wei. Our house is our sanctuary and he created this for us.
