Webber + Studio, Architects

Functional — With a deep interest in the honest expression of site constraints and program, and an emphasis on creating abiding and sustainable work, our designs reveal new forms and gestures. With a highly committed focus on problem solving, we embrace and elevate unfamiliar and unconventional configurations, proportions, and details.

Expressive — We move beyond the Palladian or rationalist box and express instead the frequently unorthodox results of program meeting site. Problem solving begets the opportunity to redefine beauty, manifested in unwieldy footprints, unconventional solutions, or unexpected details and materials. Our work overtly expresses the oddities that functionalism may require or suggest—sometimes creating buildings in seamless unison with their site, other times in stark contrast to it.

Regional — Inherently connected to a site's micro and macro region—its culture and character, geography and climate—Webber + Studio aligns local materials, methods, building vernacular, and sustainable building technology to create designs that re-examine what "local" architecture can be.

Minimal — Our buildings intend to recede so that the functional, expressive, and regional values stand at the center of view and on their own merits. The reductive quality of our materials and details palettes allows our spaces to exist as quiet, but sometimes engaging, backdrops that emphasize the activities, uses, and places that formed them.

Our community of clients love the way they live. You can explore our portfolio of projects, read about some of our awards and accolades, or contact us to find out why.

For more than two decades, we’ve shaped how Central Texas lives, works, and gathers.

Our work doesn’t start with a style, it starts with you.

We study the site, how light moves through it, and how you’ll live within it.

Every decision has a reason, refined until the design feels effortless and right for its place.

Good design doesn’t call attention to itself. It endures, performs beautifully, and feels right.

“We solve the problem until the solution feels inevitable.”
