A sushi café in the heart of Nelson, designed by Space Creation with Genia's Ninety Mile profile in Radiata Pine, finished with traditional Yakisugi.
194 Eatery is a sushi café in the heart of Nelson, and the fourth venue for the team behind Aki Sushi Nelson. It offers pick-your-own sushi, finger food, salads and donburi, as well as café favourites such as coffee and smoothies.
The space was designed by Space Creation using our Ninety-Mile Profile in Radiata Pine. We burnt the profiles using the traditional Japanese technique known as Yakisugi, or shou sugi ban, for a dramatic, textured finish.
About our product:
Bring natural warmth and texture to your interior with Genia Architectural Interior Linings. Our profiles are inspired by New Zealand and suit both residential and commercial projects. They are made from FSC® certified premium clear-grade Radiata Pine (FSC® C131052), with other species such as Tasmanian Oak available on request. Profiles can be supplied pre-finished to your colour and specification, or unfinished for finishing on site.
