The CedarOne Evolve Vertical Shiplap Cedar Cladding project at Taipari Road showcases a modern approach to contemporary architectural design, emphasising clean lines and natural timber aesthetics. Hermpac supplied the weatherboard profiles, complemented by their V9 Vertibat cavity battens and Starcap screws, ensuring a robust and durable installation. The timber was coated by Machinecoat (in-house coating system), with a further coat applied post installation to achieve the desired look.
The installation was carried out in strict accordance with Hermpac’s technical documentation, including the VertiLine Vertical Shiplap Installation Specification and Product Technical Statement, ensuring compliance with NZ Building Code requirements and E2/AS1. The V9 western red cedar Vertibat cavity battens, provided a versatile and "green" system solution.
Regular maintenance through recoating will be required to preserve the timber’s aesthetic and performance, with responsibilities delegated to the homeowner in line with industry standards. This project exemplifies quality craftsmanship and adherence to best practices within a contemporary architectural context.
