The home has a series of heavy fin walls that run from outside to inside to help anchor the building onto the site while breaking up the different zones of the Cedar clad house.
Alternative building materials and construction methods where considered for these feature walls, however concrete block masonry with the Advanced Spirito Libero natural plaster won out in the end as it gave us the look & feel we where after while meeting the budget. The flexibility of substrates that the plaster system can be applied to meant that we were able to use it more throughout the internal spaces than was originally hoped which gave us continuity of material without the need for the typical heavy & expensive building structure. The results speak for themselves, and we will be specifying the Advanced Spirito Libero natural plaster system on more projects in the future.
Exterior and Interior Plastering by Italian Eco Style Ltd
Italian Eco Style ltd was engaged in this project by the home owners Kat and Joel when they visited our showroom in Northcote.The desired final effect was meant to replicate aged concrete look which was achieved by using one of our lime plasters called Crazy Stone applied on a full acrylic mesh coat system supplied by Specialized Construction Products ltd. Italian Eco Style also used the same process on the planters around the outdoor swimming pool and the feature walls inside the house.
