About
A rebuild of a 1970's house that was completely destroyed in the February 2011 earthquake, this new family home bears many similarities to the original dwelling. The architect imbued the design with contemporary features, a highly insulated external envelope and created more internal space within the original footprint.
A central spiral stairway forms a striking element in the core of the home and is impeccably detailed with cedar boarding and black-painted steel. A matching exterior stair links the upper deck with the garden areas below. With stunning views across the Estuary and plains, this beautiful home will provide a warm and comfortable family residence for many years to come.
Testimonial
"The Balmoral project was a challenging build with difficult ground conditions, a restricted working area, and some demanding detailing called for. The image proved more than capable, their experienced team were a pleasure to work with and the finished home is an excellent example of their skills and abilities with architectural housing. We would not hesitate to recommend Image to others looking for a reliable, honest, and well organised construction team" Stephen Crooks - Chaplin Crooks Architects
