By Wingates
This project was a purpose built building for the Bell Tea & Coffee company. The brief was to provide a new office space bringing together their various businesses that were previously working in different locations around the City.
We designed the office accommodation from the inside out. A single level floor plate reinforces the management model adopted by the client with the view that all staff are on the same level strengthening collaboration and communication across the various teams and individuals. The office building is separated from the warehouse by an internal main street from which you enter and connects to all the internal areas within the building.
Tea and coffee tasting areas are the hub of the office and are a purposeful reminder of their core business, whether you are a visitor or part of the team. A centre of gravity cafe provides an informal meeting area for staff and visitors where you can always get a great cup of coffee or tea. The exterior has the aesthetic of a long tea box and interior finishes link their business to the fit out and include sacking, plywood and company memorabilia.
