Playing with texture and inviting natural light, this sleek linear façade designed by the architects maximises privacy to create an intriguing new family home.
In Camberwell, Victoria you’ll find this striking residential facade clad in Ever Art Wood timber look aluminium battens. Amongst native Australian landscaping, this modern, minimalist timber look batten screening creates depth by sitting off the structure and mirroring the silhouette of the property.
The screen reinforces its geometry and provides a shielded front to the street while taking its shape in reference to the gable silhouette of the home.
At only ~700g per lineal metre, the use of lightweight Kabebari battens allowed a tilt lift garage door to be seamlessly integrated.
Kabebari battens, with their two-part sections, are simply screwed and snapped together to create a finished batten look. Fixings are completely concealed achieving an uninterrupted linear aesthetic that is dimensionally perfect.
The batten detailing continues through to the entrance, with perfectly mitred corners adjoining the facade to a batten-covered entry.
With interior and exterior light illuminating the angular silhouette, the building is incredibly stunning at night and certainly delivers on the brief of a dream home.
